Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location : Matthews, NC Agency : Cynet Health Pay : $2,161 per week Shift Information : Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration : 13 Weeks Start Date : ASAP About the Position Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift : 36 Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience for RN. License : RN License Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP required for RN. BLS required for Surgical Tech. National certification (CST) preferred for Surgical Tech. Must-Have : Must have skills to work as LDRP RN. Experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care. Circulating experience in cesarean sections. Experience with newborn care, including heel sticks and 24-hour testing. Knowledge of neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) scoring. Lactation support experience is preferred. For Surgical Tech : Experience in decontamination and sterilization procedures. Proficient in sterile technique. Comfortable providing assistance during vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Description : Facility has 44 licensed beds. It is a teaching hospital with community nursing programs only. The average patient census is 8. There are 8 beds in the unit. Patient types include LDRP and GYN surgical patients. Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines. Support within the department includes a CNA per shift and a charge nurse. There are hospitalists and OB physicians available 24 / 7. Pediatricians and lactation consultants are part of the support team. EMR system used is EPIC. IV pumps and med dispensing systems in use. Monitors include Phillips and GE fetal monitors. Travelers may have to float to various facilities within the region, as needed. Floating mid-shift will be compensated for travel time, remaining on the clock. Weekend rotation is every other week. Holiday expectations require travelers to work 75% of holidays. Requests for time off can be approved for up to 6 days, excluding holidays. Travelers must add time to the contract if they cannot meet contracted hours. Shift times are from 7 PM to 7 AM with a scheduling cycle of every 6 weeks. Scrub color is navy blue or business casual to and from work, with hospital-issued scrubs provided while on duty.
