Job Description
Operates automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures. Equipment includes mixers, grinders, filter presses, dryers, filtering equipment, pumps, and filling machines. Performs quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identifies variations. Processes may generate high pressure and / or critical reactions and requires training in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Operation is 24 / 7 - Must be able to work a variable work schedule including all shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays. Industrial Waste Water Treatment / Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator minimum of 2 years of experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Industrial Waste Water. Treatment / Plant Operator / Technical Operations Control experience is highly desirable
Operate the Chemical Wastewater & Oily Wastewater Treatment facilities; ensuring the removal or reduction of heavy metals and / or other contaminants prior to discharge. Monitors unit processes (equalization, chemical addition, filtration, etc.) and adjusts flow rates, chemical federates and other variables to properly treat wastewater handled by these facilities. Collects and analyzes wastewater samples, identifying chemical properties and contaminants to determine required treatment processes and / or evaluate plant operating performance.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and / or related experience; Apprentice graduate / Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 1 year of related experience. May require certification.
