ICU RN Job Details

Location : Front Royal, Virginia 22630

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : January 5, 2026 – End : April 6, 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Critical Care Step Down Unit (ICU)

Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 (3x12-hour shifts)

Weekend Requirement : 2 full weekends (Friday & Saturday) and 1 additional weekend night every 6 weeks

Holiday Requirement : As needed

On-Call : 4-hour call shifts; must be able to arrive within 1 hour if called in

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680 – $1800

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Virginia RN license (required for Virginia healthcare jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience

Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS / PEARS, NIHSS

Preferred experience in Critical Care, Step Down, or Progressive Care nursing

Ability to float to Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) as needed

ICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care to adults in the ICU and Critical Care Step Down Unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using Epic EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Respond to emergencies and deliver advanced life support as needed

Float to other hospital units, including Medical-Surgical, to support clinical needs
