Position Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Field Foreman to oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of dairy farm manufacturing equipment in agricultural settings. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, leadership ability, and strong communication skills to coordinate field teams, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality results for our dairy farm and processing clients.
Key Responsibilities Field Operations & Supervision - Lead field crews during equipment installation, service, and repair projects at dairy farm and agricultural facilities.
- Assign tasks, monitor daily progress, and ensure timely project completion according to client specifications.
- Train and mentor field technicians in equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety procedures
Equipment & Process Oversight - Oversee the setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance of dairy farm manufacturing and processing equipment (e.g., milking systems, conveyors, refrigeration, pasteurizers, pumps).
- Troubleshoot equipment issues on-site to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment service, repairs, and field project notes.
Safety & Compliance - Enforce adherence to OSHA, USDA, FDA, and industry safety standards on all field projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Ensure crews are trained and equipped with proper PPE and follow all safety protocols.
Client & Team Communication - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during field projects.
- Provide project updates, resolve on-site issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams, management, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree in mechanical, agricultural, or industrial technology preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in dairy farm or agricultural manufacturing equipment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
- Strong understanding of dairy farm equipment systems and agricultural processing equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites; flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
