Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant in Simi Valley

Provides safe and efficient patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed provider and nurse in performing various administrative duties. Has completed the training and competencies for medical technician in performing the routine tasks needed to care for the clinic patients. This position will be back office focused charting patients for general practice clinic in a hospital health network.

Responsibilities

• Taking vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, age, weight, temp)
• Heavy Injections
• Working with one Doctor, seeing about 40 patients per day
• Prepping rooms for examination
• Refilling medications
• EMR systems and patient documentation

Essential Skills

• Experience as a Medical Assistant
• Proficiency in taking vitals
• Heavy communication
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Assisting Diploma required, Certified Medical Assistant is preferred
• CPT Certification (preferred but not required)

Work Environment

Clinic environment. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00/hr.
