The Production Supervisor oversees daily plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production output. This role is responsible for leading a bilingual (English / Spanish) workforce, managing production processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong communication skills in both languages.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, including shift scheduling, work assignments, staffing levels, and workflow management.
  • Lead, train, coach, and evaluate team members; communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to ensure clear direction and consistent expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies; promote a culture focused on safety and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor equipment performance, coordinate with maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime, and support root-cause analysis when issues arise.
  • Drive productivity, cost control, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements; analyze production data and report KPIs.
  • Maintain quality standards, oversee product integrity, and partner with Quality teams to resolve non-conformances and correct process deviations.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing training for production employees, including bilingual training materials when needed.
  • Document daily production activities, logs, reports, and shift handoffs with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, logistics, and leadership to meet production goals.
  • Assist with hiring, retention, and employee engagement initiatives that strengthen a bilingual, diverse team environment.

    • Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of production or manufacturing supervisory experience in industrial, processing, recycling, or food-related operations.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) — required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of production equipment and processes.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience guiding diverse teams in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Knowledge of safety practices, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using production software or data systems.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime based on operational needs.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, processing, rendering, recycling, or similar environments.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or other continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience supervising bilingual teams and delivering training in English and Spanish.
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMPs, or food-industry safety protocols.
