We are looking for a qualified Service Manager to lead and manage the service department at a new, state-of-the-art import dealership facility in the Westchester County Area . This role requires strong leadership to ensure high customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team development. You will oversee the service team in a modern shop environment featuring a fully enclosed drive-through and climate-controlled shop and cutting edge equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee union and non-union service personnel (could mange up to 15 techs and 5 service advisors) ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and municipal regulations.
Champion a customer-first approach to consistently meet OEM and management customer service standards.
Drive service business development through strategic advertising and marketing initiatives.
Implement systems for clear communication of service needs by advisors and technicians to build vehicle reliability and customer trust.
Optimize dispatching to maximize technician productivity for customer repairs and internal vehicle preparation.
Uphold daily housekeeping standards to maintain a professional service environment and team morale.
Design and execute training programs for technicians, advisors, and support staff to ensure continuous skill growth.
Create structured career path development plans for lube technicians, guiding advancement toward C, B, and A-level certifications.
Promptly and thoroughly resolve customer concerns to reinforce satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of management experience in a union shop for an import brand within a franchised automotive dealership.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex service operations, and maintain structure in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor and polished appearance to set a positive tone for the team.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective leadership and customer relations.
Demonstrated ability to drive and maintain high CSI scores through attentive service and team alignment.
Strong detail-oriented commitment to accuracy and precision across service operations.
Ensures timely and accurate submission of all required documentation and manufacturer approvals (compliance and accountability).
Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds Ignite preferred.
