[job_card.job_description]Work on the 7th floor Med / Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting 32-bed unit with patient ratios of 4 : 1 or 5 : 1 Primarily serves medical / surgical overflow patients, with telemetry monitoring required Shift is nights from 1900-0730 with self-scheduling and every other weekend required Uses Epic EMR system RNs are required to titrate drips including insulin and pain medications RN must validate telemetry strips; centralized telemetry is in use Nurse aides are present on the unit with average aide ratios of 8 : 1 or 10 : 1 Bipap and high flow equipment are utilized Floating to other units may be required Possible standby as needed, but no required on-call Professional, clean attire is required; scrubs may be worn but jeans are not permitted Must work one winter and one summer holiday during the contract Responsibilities include titrating commonly used drips and validating telemetry strips Highly functioning, supportive, and family-oriented team environment Charge nurse and house supervisor support available on the unit Travelers may not take requested time off during the first week of the assignment Travelers who were employed directly by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year are not eligible Unit-specific orientation will be provided prior to starting regular shifts First time travelers are welcome to apply Active WA or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted Current BLS and Telemetry certifications are required Minimum of 2 years recent Med / Surg and Telemetry nursing experience required Experience with Epic EMR preferred Must provide two professional references : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years including employment dates and rehire eligibility Copy of driver’s license required for consideration High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
