Job Summary

The Sr Software Developer, develops IT solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications using C# and ASP.NET, including writing code, designing solutions, and improving functionality. This role must be a highly motivated self-starter that excels in a collaborative environment. At Populus, we develop our own software, and our Software Developers are essential to the company's success!

Major Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of mission-critical applications, including new applications and enhancements to existing systems
• Develop designs that are as simple, fast, efficient, robust, easy to maintain, and easy to scale
• Complete assigned responsibilities within multiple projects simultaneously
• Complete all development responsibilities after high-level initial direction
• Assist in preparing level of effort estimates
• Independently remove significant project roadblocks
• Guide and assist Developers to overcome technical problems while coaching on standards and expectations
• Ensure high quality and timely delivery of software development lifecycle
• Partner with QA resources throughout the software development lifecycle
• Adhere to company coding standards, including unit testing and code reviews
• Understand the full application lifecycle from inception through maintenance
• Provide production support as necessary
