In this role, you'll provide nursing services across a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, crisis centers, residential programs, primary care, and community-based care. As a Float Nurse, you'll bring your expertise to where it's needed most-supporting patients in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and medical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments, screenings, and vital signs per service line requirements.
  
• Monitor health status and coordinate care with treatment teams.
  
• Create action plans addressing physical and mental health treatment needs.
  
• Provide disease prevention, risk reduction, and health education.
  
• Arrange and monitor medical appointments, including hospital discharge coordination.
  
• Administer and oversee administration of medications according to service line requirements.
  
• Monitor medication compliance, side effects, and consult with providers as necessary.
  
• Assist physicians/advanced practice providers with exams and procedures.
  
• Draw labs, review lab results, and communicate findings to treatment teams.
  
• Coordinate medication needs with pharmacies and utilize indigent drug programs.
  
• Document all services in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
  
• Respond calmly and professionally to crises and emergencies.
  
• Serve as a role model of compassionate, patient-centered care.
  
• Participate in required training, team meetings, and quality assurance processes.
  
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
  
  

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

• Current licensure in the state of Indiana as one of the following:
  
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
    
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
    
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  
• Must be willing to become licensed in additional states as needed.
  
• Must be willing and comfortable providing telehealth services (training provided).
  
• FQHC: BCLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  
  

Required License/Certification (one of the following):

• Registered Nurse (RN), State of Indiana
  
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), State of Indiana
  
  

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong clinical judgment, time management, and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to work flexibly across service lines and settings.
  
• Effective communication skills (in-person, phone, and video conferencing).
  
• Knowledge of behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
  
• Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations.
