Job Description
We are hiring a CNC Setup Machinist with the ability to independently complete mill and lathe setups, inspect parts to blueprint, and run production after proving out programs. This position supports high-precision aerospace and defense component production in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Load / unload parts and perform part changeovers
- Set up tooling and workholding for aluminum, stainless, and titanium parts
- Read and understand prints, routers, and G-code
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and CMM inspection sheets
- Record data for in-process and final part checks
- Report program or tooling errors to programmers / engineers
Minimum Qualifications :
3–5 years CNC machining experience, with setup experienceExperience with HAAS, Fanuc, or MazatrolAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawingsProficient knowledge of first article processes and quality standardsTechnical certificate in machining or equivalent hands-on trainingFamiliarity with AS9100 environment is a plusPreferred Certifications :
7+ years CNC machining experience; 3+ in aerospace / defense preferredMastery in setups, fixture design, and first articlesAbility to edit programs directly at the controlNIMS CNC Machining Level II / IIIHAAS or Mazak controller certificationAS9100 or ISO 9001 QMS experienceForklift or crane operation training (OSHA)
