[job_card.job_description]System Architecture & Design : Defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and input / output parameters to ensure hardware and software compatibility. Development & Testing : Using current programming languages and technologies to write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications. Documentation : Completing all necessary documentation and procedures for system installation and maintenance. Problem Solving : Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses and complicated architectural issues. Leadership & Mentorship : Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead teams of developers, mentor junior engineers, and delegate tasks to keep projects on track. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Interacting with users to define system requirements and assisting other departments to maintain project timelines. B.S. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering is required (a Master’s degree may be considered in lieu of some experience). 7+ years of industry experience in embedded systems and board bring-up. Must Have : Proficiency in Linux OS. Must Have : Proficiency in C, C++, and C#. Must Have : Proficiency in Python. Technical Knowledge : Working knowledge of serial buses (I2C, SPI) and Ethernet. Networking Expertise : Solid understanding of network protocols (PTP, NTP, DHCP, etc.) and network debugging of multicast / unicast packets. Working proficiency in Java / Android OS. Working knowledge of AVB, IGMP, RTP, and H.264 / H.265. Ability to read and interpret RFCs to understand new protocols and requirements. Experience in the VIP / VVIP aircraft or aerospace industry. Travel : Occasional travel to customer sites (typically no more than 2 weeks per year). Job Type : Direct Hire Salary Range : $95,000 to $120,000 Location : Onsite in Kent, WA during core hours. An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check. ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
