Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries accurately in compliance with GAAP standards.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements on a monthly basis.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely reporting.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records for audits and internal reviews.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP compliance.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record-keeping.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for financial data review and variance analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-3+ years of professional accounting experience.
CPA certification or active candidacy.
Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits.
Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices.
