Job Title : Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator

Location : Hybrid onsite in any US Bank hub location - 3 days / week onsite

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator to support and maintain mission-critical database systems within a z / OS operating environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in DB2 database administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Administer and maintain DB2 databases on IBM z / OS mainframe systems.
• Perform logical and physical database design, including creation of tablespaces, tables, views, and indexes.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal system efficiency.
• Execute routine database maintenance procedures such as LOAD, REORG, IMAGECOPY, RUNSTATS, and RECOVERY.
• Collaborate with application development teams to support database integration with COBOL and Java-based applications.
• Document database configurations, maintenance procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Provide incident response and troubleshooting support for database-related issues.
• Participate in capacity planning and system upgrades to support evolving business needs.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
