Outdoor Learning Facilitator
Location: AL3, Redbourn, Hertfordshire
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £100 - £120 per day

Do you love the outdoors and want to inspire young people to learn beyond the classroom? We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Outdoor Learning Facilitator to join a welcoming SEN setting in the St Albans area.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with UK school-based experience, particularly those who have worked as a HLTA, Cover Supervisor, or in a similar teaching-support role, and who thrives in a hands-on, outdoor learning environment.

This role would suit someone who:

Has teaching or classroom leadership experience in the UK, such as HLTA or Cover Supervisor experience

Has worked with children in a school-based or educational setting (including SEN)

Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons and using nature as a meaningful learning space

Can confidently support pupils with a range of SEN needs, both 1:1 and in small groups

Is patient, flexible, creative, and proactive

Is motivated to make a real difference to children's confidence, wellbeing, and engagement

Key responsibilities:

Leading and supporting engaging outdoor learning sessions that encourage curiosity and practical skill development

Delivering activities that link to the primary curriculum in a creative, accessible way

Supporting pupils with additional needs in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment

Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and support teams

Helping to plan and adapt outdoor activities to meet individual learning needs

What we're looking for:

UK-based school experience in a teaching, HLTA, or Cover Supervisor role (essential)

Experience supporting children with SEN

A genuine passion for outdoor and experiential learning

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A hands-on, enthusiastic approach and willingness to adapt to the needs of each day
