Required License / Registration / Certification
Applicant must have a current negative TB test (within the last 2 years) or be willing to get one. CPR and 1st aid certification is required within 3 months of employment. All employees must have a finger print background check. This will be done when applicants are offered the job. Physical Requirements Must be able to pick up children weighing up to 40 pounds, push strollers and be able to get up and down from the floor several times a day. The children also go outside at least 2 times each day. Teachers go outside with children. Shift The ECL opens at 7 : 00a.m. and closes at 5 : 30.p.m. Job Summary Job duties of a student worker at the ECL include playing with and supervising young children, helping classroom teachers with cleaning and organizing, assisting with daily routines, reading to children, and going to the playground and walks around campus. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities We are hoping to employ students who are professional, and understand the importance of coming to work during their planned schedules. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education / Experience have cared for children in child care or at home.
