Certified Ophthalmic Assistant

VisionFirst Eye Care has a new opportunity for a certified ophthalmology assistant to join our growing team as a Clinical Coordinator.  This position will provide a high level of support to help coordinate the patient flow of a busy optometry office ensuring the highest level of patient care is provided efficiently and consistently.  Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to :

• Coordinate the patient flow on the clinical side of the practice
• Assist with training and scheduling of clinical staff members
• Serve as a liaison for the doctors
• Ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork, such as referrals, prior authorizations, co-management, diabetic letters, etc.
• Help manage clinical inventory and order supplies as needed
• Able to perform all job functions on the clinical side of the practice, including pre-testing, providing technical support, providing administrative / front desk support, and ensuring the highest level of customer service and patient care is provided at all times.
