Summary : Provide professional nursing care for patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit, following established policies and procedures. Take on charge nurse duties as assigned, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, fostering positive interpersonal relationships.
Responsibilities : Deliver patient-centered care while addressing the physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of diverse patient populations. Maintain vigilance through visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient status. Engage in physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Follow safety protocols to minimize exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious materials.
Education & Certifications : Must hold a current Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Experience & Requirements : Prior experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to compassionate care and teamwork is essential.
