The Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor II  to join our Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (USOR) team in the Davis District located in Centerville, UT. This will allow you to practice the latest techniques in rehabilitation counseling while developing strong partnerships with other agencies and programs to help clients enter or reenter the labor market.

Principal Duties The Rehabilitation Counselor II performs the following tasks :

• Provides counseling services to a combination of general caseload and transition youth, ages 14-24.
• Provides full performance level vocational counseling and guidance, training and selective job placement services to individuals with disabilities.
• Partners with the community and provides outreach to vendors to collaborate and coordinate agency activities and facilitate agency goals.
• Travels weekly to provide outreach to schools, parents, business partners, community partners and training meetings.
• Exercises a great deal of independent decision making.

This position may be under-filled as a Rehabilitation Counselor I or a Rehabilitation Trainee.
