- As an emergency medicine physician, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in need of emergency medical services.
- Your expertise, clinical acumen, and ability to make swift and accurate decisions in critical situations will be crucial to the success of our emergency department.
- Position Details Include:
- Annual volume: 51,000
- High acuity
- Hospital beds: 450
- ED beds: 64
- Trauma level: II
- Board requirements: board certified or eligible in emergency medicine
- Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies
- Perform initial patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests as required
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine and best practices, considering the individual needs of each patient
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and potential risks and benefits
- Monitor and reassess patients regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and addressing any changes in their condition promptly
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and departmental meetings to promote excellence in emergency medical care
