Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officer

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officer in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible throughout your assigned area, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $28.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

  • Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM
  • Wed 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM
  • Thur 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM
  • Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM
  • Sat 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM

    • What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying identification and / or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Assist law enforcement and / or emergency personnel as directed in accordance with site protocols.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, visitors, and / or members of the public at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
