We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & QUALIFICATIONS :

• Preparation of IV medications (cytotoxic and research medications) under direct supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor and Pharmacist.
• Dispense the appropriate quantities of drugs from the automated dispensing system and account for waste.
• Maintain records by recording and filing prescriptions and orders of the physicians.
• Process and Dispense prescriptions using QS1 software while ensuring that all information is accurate and complete.
• Assist the Pharmacy Manager with prior authorizations and co-pay assistance programs.
• Respond to patients’ and healthcare providers’ requests; answering questions and referring inquires to the appropriate physicians.
• Set up for next day's chemotherapy mix cycle.
• Clean equipment, shelving units and work areas according to designated methods.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents and computerized materials such as practitioner orders, safety rules, material safety data sheets, maintenance, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records.

EDUCATION CERTIFICATION

California pharmacy technician license.

EXPERIENCE

Retail Pharmacy experience in processing prescriptions is required.
