Job Summary:
The “Voice and Network Technician” position at LCC will assist and lead in the troubleshooting, installing, and configuring of voice and network infrastructure and devices across multiple campus locations. Maximize equipment and system up-time through timely response and effective coordination with other ISS team members. Additionally, they will help provide direction and support for network switches, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and IT infrastructure. They will operate with minimal direct supervision while performing tasks related to maintaining and monitoring existing LCC voice and networking systems. Must be able to problem solve, read, and comprehend technical information and possess outstanding customer service skills.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in computer related discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and network/telecom education.
Demonstrated experience in computer technical support with progressive increases in responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years’ experience in network/telecom technical support with progressive increases in responsibilities.
