CLINICAL CARE TECH REQUIREMENTS

First of all, to get started in this position, you need to have the following certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Relevant Specialty
• Patient Care Technician

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and at least 1 year ECW knowledge would be preferred. Additionally, you need to meet the following criteria:

• 6+ months of experience working in at least one of these positions: PCT, EMT, certified nursing assistant (CNA), or licensed practical nurse (LPN)
• Computer proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent

We also need someone who can effectively communicate with all kinds of people both verbally and through writing. A keen eye for detail is also crucial. Perhaps most importantly, you need to have a pleasant and professional attitude and be willing to jump in to assist your team with whatever they need. Does that sound like you? WHAT TO EXPECT AS A CLINICAL CARE TECH

In this health care role, you provide invaluable medical, clerical, and administrative assistance to the patients at our primary care practice. You embrace the variety in your days, completing a wide range of tasks as assigned by a nurse. One moment you might be measuring and recording patient vital signs and the next you're collecting, labeling, and transferring specimen samples.

You also assist patients with performing daily care tasks such as bathing, shaving, eating, drinking, and toilet needs as well as help them move around with their walkers, canes, or wheelchairs. Motivated to only provide the best care possible, you stay up to date on the best evidence-based practices and uphold a positive attitude throughout the workday.
