CDL-B Refrigerated Truck Driver - $35 per hour in Alaska - Local

Highliner, located in Dutch Harbor, is the distribution center for Rogge, a full line food distributor, provisioning companies and marine vessels throughout remote Alaska since 1939.  Rogge distributes dry, chilled, and frozen institutional grocery products, including fresh dairy as well as a full line of produce items for distribution throughout Alaska.  Rogge is a division of Charlie’s Produce, one of the largest privately owned produce wholesalers on the West Coast.

We are seeking an on-call or part-time Class B Delivery Driver

The Role

Highliner is looking for a part-time or on-call Class B Delivery Driver. In this role you will be driving a box truck or flatbed to and from the docks and shoreside processing plants and assist in loading and unloading products.   The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to details and safety-conscious mind-set. .

Must be a self-starter, team-focused and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Particular attention must be given to safety, accuracy, quality and timeliness. Must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents..

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To :

• Performs daily routine safety checks, and pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicle
• Safe and efficient delivery of products to customer sites in box trucks or flatbeds
• Offload trucks using equipment such as forklift or pallet jack
• Other duties assigned by supervisor
