Title : ESME Assembly Process Engineer

Job Summary :

GM Performance Power Units (GM PPU) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ESME Assembly Process Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Concord, NC. This vital role focuses on safely building high-performance battery systems with the upmost quality.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the design and optimization of the manufacturing process of the Energy Store (ES) and Energy Store Main Enclosure (ESME).
• Design and analyze production processes to ensure personnel safety at all times.
• Work with the Quality Department to develop in-process and end-of-line quality procedures for various assembly processes including equipment planning, evaluation, and selection.
• Actively contribute to the design process of the Energy Store (ES) and Energy Store Main Enclosure (ESME) to achieve Built-In Quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis for any problems found throughout the build process and communicate findings to relevant team members while documenting learnings.
• Create and maintain manufacturing operation work instructions.
• Document and communicate assembly process developments and innovations clearly.
• Work with the ERS Assembly Manager and High Voltage Safety Supervisor to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
