Built-in 1973 Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento is committed to providing daily excellence in health care for residents of Sacramentos southern suburbs including the Elk Grove Wilton and Galt communities. Methodist Hospital is home to a 158 acute-care bed facility with 1120 employees 283 medical staff and 29 Emergency Department beds. Methodist Hospital also owns and operates Bruceville Terrace a 171-bed sub-acute skilled nursing long-term care facility adjacent to the hospital that provides care for the elderly as well as those requiring extended recoveries. Job Summary and Responsibilities

The incumbent performs cleaning sanitation and other environmental services and support duties involved in hospital maintenance. May access medication storage areas in accordance with their job function and hospital policy.

Job Requirements

• Basic housekeeping practices and procedures Proper handling / disposal of infectious waste Proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicals and equipment Basic floor care practices
• Knowledge of proper cleaning sanitation infectious waste floor and carpet care including knowledge of aseptic procedures detergent / germicide solution and proper use and cleaning of equipment proper use of safety standards and procedures in housekeeping skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
