Position Overview :

The Behavioral Specialist plays a key role in the overall well-being of each resident. They are responsible for facilitation of resident reviews and implementation of behavior reducing plans of care. This care team member will plan and facilitate day to day activity programming, monitoring of resident behaviors, will record and collect data on their progress and communicate routinely with residents and families on their overall status and well-being.

Key Responsibilities :

Organizing, planning, and implementation of programs.

Assess each resident’s psychosocial wellbeing and develop a plan for providing care.

Collaborate, communicate and assist with mediation of issues that may arise amongst the residents and their family members.

Enthusiastic, passionate about motivating and serving our residents

Maintain a clean and healthy environment

Provide referrals to community resources for services needed outside of what is provided by the facility.

Possess the ability to build rapport with residents and other care team members.

Qualifications :

Have dementia care / activities experience

Highschool / GED preferred but not required
