SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Computer Engineer IV .
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Job Summary : SEACORP has an immediate need for a full-time Computer Engineer with a Secret clearance based at a government facility
in Olney, Maryland site. The selected applicant will perform work to assist
with the development and management of Government labs and DoD systems. While
these positions will mostly have regular business hours, some travel will be
required.
Job Responsibilities Include :
Design architecture, installation,
configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server and systems
configurations (hardware and software) to ensure their confidentiality,
integrity, and availability.
In
addition to design and development duties, computer hardware engineers
supervise the manufacturing and installation of computers and computer-related
equipment.
Administer server-based systems,
security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and
performs systems monitoring.
Potential to consult on network, and application
issues to support computer systems’ security and sustainability.
Successful
completion of training in Windows Administration will be required within the
first 6 months of hire.
Apply the principles and techniques of computer
science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development,
testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that enable computers to
perform their many applications.
Involved in the design and development of many types
of software, including software for operating systems and network distribution,
and compilers, which convert programs for execution on a computer.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in a technical field including but
not limited to Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, is
preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 6 years of related work experience,
preferably in IT Architecture and Design.
Ideal Skills and Experience :
Must possess strong programming skills but are more
concerned with developing algorithms and analyzing and solving programming
problems than with actually writing code. The programming languages most often
used are C, C++, and Java, with Fortran and COBOL used less commonly.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship
