Description
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Distribution EIT 1 to report from PA, OH region. The ideal candidate has good analytical thinking, problem-solving techniques, distribution line design experience, and excellent communication skills. This position reports out of our Distribution group.
Essential Job Duties :
- Design and permit distribution lines, including drawing preparation, bill of materials development, material ordering, and conducting field visits.
- Ability to conduct field visits and use information to create drawings.
- Utilize various software to create overhead and underground electrical distribution designs.
- Follow local utility and construction standards.
- Ability to learn, retain and apply on the job training and use design software packages efficiently
- Ability to work effectively in design teams.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible to handle shifting deadlines and scope changes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Other duties as assigned.

B.S. or M.S. EngineeringCertification / Licensure
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification.Technical Responsibilities
Collects data and gathers information or documents.Participates in laboratory testing and field investigations.Performs basic computations or analysis.Assists with preparation of engineering deliverables.Observes construction activities.Project and Task Management
Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.No managerial responsibilities at this level.Management Responsibility
Receives close supervision on all aspects of assignments.Receives mentorship from a licensed engineer.Communication Skills
