Double E Group is seeking a Product Engineer based out of our headquarters. The Product Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales and development of equipment for the web handling and converting industry. The candidate will become an expert on several product lines in the wide array of Double E Group offerings.

Responsibilities

• Develop general knowledge of all product lines - mechanical components, machines, and manufacturing processes.
• Become an industry expert for several products.
• Evaluate customers' needs and desires to recommend the appropriate solution by reviewing product specifications and requirements; consider new product ideas and / or product changes.
• Assess the competitive landscape of products and develop working knowledge of competitor’s products, sales channels, and marketing.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and sales teams in order to offer the correct product.
• Assist in determining product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; costing special and customized orders.
• Provide product training for new and existing territory managers.
• Create and maintain price tools, product manuals, training, and other literature.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies.
• Some travel is required.
