Grants Manager

We are looking for a Grants Manager to join a growing team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial stewardship and compliance of our growing portfolio of grants, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and in alignment with organizational goals. Responsibilities:

• Design comprehensive and compliant grant budgets that align with program objectives and organizational goals.

• Develop and implement detailed salary, fringe, and cost allocation models to support financial planning.

• Monitor grant expenditures and track budget-to-actuals to ensure funds are utilized effectively and in compliance with guidelines.

• Conduct regular financial forecasting and propose budget modifications to address overspending or underspending risks.

• Prepare accurate reimbursement requests, financial reports, and maintain audit-ready documentation for all grants.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, local, and foundation compliance requirements in all financial processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen grant management systems and standard operating procedures.

• Train staff members on grant compliance, budgeting practices, and effective financial management.

• Identify and mitigate financial risks early, ensuring proactive solutions are implemented.

• Partner with program and development teams to align funding strategies and reporting requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit grants management, including government and foundation grants.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functions and financial modeling techniques.

• Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and manage complex grant accounting processes.

• Experience in preparing audit-ready financial documentation and compliance reporting.

• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
