Build reliability into every board by making invisible defects visible. As our AXI expert, you’ll use 5DX and related X‑ray tools to safeguard assemblies and elevate process capability across the line.
Your impact in the first 90 days
- Days 1–30 : Qualify on AXI programs, validate scan parameters, and establish a consistent review cadence for solder joints and placement accuracy.
- Days 31–60 : Partner with process and manufacturing engineering to reduce visual defects and close out processing issues using inspection data.
- Days 61–90 : Mentor operators on equipment use, contribute to system evaluations, and help standardize 5S practices around the AXI cell.
Core responsibilities
Operate and support the AXI line (including 5DX) for production builds.Consistently detect and document solder joint defects and component placement errors from AXI results.Inspect ICs, chips, connectors, joints, text / markings, and other features using the computer‑operated AXI system.Use magnification tools to verify to IPC‑A‑610 criteria.Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, MPI, ECN, Deviation, and related manufacturing documentation.Load AXI programs as specified and confirm correct execution.Perform inspection to validate SMT paste application and placement accuracy.Assist engineers with data collection and engineering evaluations; train production operators on equipment as needed.Drive improvement initiatives and maintain an organized, efficient workspace (5S).Handle additional AXI support and production duties as assigned.Qualifications
At least 3 years operating AXI or 5DX equipment.High School Diploma.Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and ESD requirements.IPC‑A‑610 Certified.Compensation & schedule
Salary Range : $20.00 - $27.00 / Hour | Day Shift
