[job_card.job_description]Work 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 30 PM to 6 : 30 AM Every other weekend requirement Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe 33-bed ICU with average daily census of 16 patients Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2-3 for adults Care for trauma, cardiac, overdose / substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress patients Required to titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation Must read, interpret, and document telemetry strips with GE monitor system Float to PCU or Med-Surg units as needed with typical ratios of 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 Work with respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilators One shift of unit-specific orientation provided Must pass open book skills exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% score Use EPIC charting system Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Driver's license required and must live outside 50-mile radius Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination Self-scheduling available for core staff with travelers added in Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Referral bonus
