Our client located in Elgin, IL is looking for Automation Technicians!

In this position, you will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automated manufacturing and robotic systems. You'll work with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable automated operations.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00/hr

Hours: Monday-Friday

Automation Technician Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated machinery, robotics, PLCs, and control systems
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and automation documentation
• Support improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and equipment uptime

Automation Technician Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in automation, industrial maintenance, robotics, or related roles
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills with automated systems
• Ability to read schematics and work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and safety practices
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work safely in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience:

• PLC experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) and robotics systems (Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa)
• Technical degree/certification in Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or similar
• CMMS experience
• Strong communication, detail orientation, and problem-solving abilities
