About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Magnet Medical to find a qualified Radiology RN in Corpus Christi, Texas, 78412!

A Registered Nurse (RN) – Radiology provides nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures, interventional radiology treatments, or radiation therapies. The RN ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients during imaging studies, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, as well as more complex interventional radiology procedures. The role involves assisting with procedures, monitoring patients for reactions, managing sedation and anesthesia, and educating patients about their treatments and potential risks.

Key Responsibilities :

Patient Assessment and Care :

• Conduct initial assessments of patients’ health status, including medical history, allergies, and any concerns regarding the upcoming radiological procedure.
• Assess vital signs, monitor patient comfort, and ensure safety throughout the imaging or interventional procedure.
• Identify patient needs and provide appropriate nursing interventions, including managing anxiety and addressing any physical discomfort or medical conditions that could interfere with the procedure.
