We are currently seeking exceptional individuals for our Aircraft Maintenance Technician(part-time) Team in Rockford IL.!

The Aircraft Mechanic will perform aircraft line maintenance activities in accordance with company FAA other regulatory and customer standards. Responsible for accomplishing unscheduled / scheduled maintenance; to include troubleshooting engines landing gear hydraulic systems airframes electrical systems and oxygen systems. Remove and replace various system components as required.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Flightchecks RSM QCM customers procedures FARs and all other applicable rules and regulations
  • Accomplish job functions to the highest safety quality reliability and efficient standards
  • Complete aircraft maintenance work assignments to the highest standards to ensure aircraft airworthiness
  • Able to read interpret and comply with all aircraft maintenance manuals and other maintenance documents to complete work assignments
  • Must be customer service-oriented
  • Ensure all company customer and regulatory documents are complete and accurate
  • Properly use and operate support equipment in performance of assigned duties i.e. servicing units jacks lifts calibrated tooling etc.
  • Occasional travel
  • Perform other duties as they are assigned

    • Requirements :

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have a valid A&P and State Drivers License
  • Must be able to read write and understand English and the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall

    • Preferred but not required :

  • 2 years of experience
  • B777-200 / 300
  • B767-200 / 300
  • B737NG / MAX

    • Workplace environment :

  • Potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles toxic chemicals and moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions and extreme heat. You will often be exposed to various weather elements as well.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
