• Shift : 7 : 45 AM - 5 : 00 PM
• Days : Monday - Friday
• Travel : No travel between locations during a single shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology team. This role is essential in supporting patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

On a daily basis, you will :

• Patient Rooming : Prepare exam rooms and escort patients to their appointments.
• Vital Signs & History Intake : Accurately record patient vitals and medical history.
• Scheduling Tests : Coordinate diagnostic tests and follow-up appointments.
• In-Basket Management : Handle electronic messages and tasks within the EMR system.
• Patient Communication : Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide assistance.
• EMR Documentation : Work efficiently within a computerized Electronic Medical Record system.

Required Qualifications

• Experience : Minimum 1 year as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Certification : Current Medical Assistant Certification .

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Cardiology Knowledge : Familiarity with cardiac procedures and terminology.
• EPIC EMR Experience : Prior experience using EPIC for patient documentation and scheduling.

Additional Details

• Dress Code : Scrubs preferred; no specific color required.
• Work Setting : Clinic-based; no home visits.
