Overview
The Acquisition Support Specialist provides professional acquisition, contract management, and administrative support to the MARAD Office of Acquisition. The role includes assisting with pre-award planning, solicitation preparation, source selection, contract administration, and closeout activities in compliance with FAR, TAR, and agency policies.
Key Duties :
Assist with acquisition planning, market research, and requirements documentation.
Support drafting of SOWs, PWSs, IGCEs, solicitations, and contract files.
Perform price analysis and Excel-based data review (Pivot Tables, lookup formulas).
Support source selection documentation and evaluation preparation.
Assist with contract modifications, COR letters, award documents, and closeout.
Maintain data in PRISM, FPDS-NG, and SharePoint; prepare routine reports.
Support compliance with acquisition policy and regulatory updates.
Requirements :
5+ years Federal contracting experience.
FAC-C (Professional) / DAWIA III required.
Solid knowledge of FAR and contracting methods.
Strong writing, organization, and Excel skills
