Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner & Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Coldwater, MI

Job Type : Full Time

Shifts : Monday - Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)

Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

• Performing health assessments and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines, state practice acts, and physician instructions.
• Conducting triage procedures for initial evaluations for musculoskeletal disorders and injuries such as sprains, strains, lacerations, and contusions
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's dysfunction and health care needs.
• Suturing
• Developing individualized plans of care and documenting care plans.
• Prescribing medication and / or referring for other healthcare services
• Performing injections and vaccines as appropriate
• Completing concise, comprehensive electronic medical record documentation.

Required Qualifications / Skills :

2 or more years of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner experience

An orthopedic / musculoskeletal background or Occupational Health experience is required.

Active Michigan Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License in good standing

Excellent and dynamic people and communication skills

Compassion for people

High motivation level and professional confidence

Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful but not required
