Strong vendor negotiation, analytical, and ERP / Excel skills. Previous manufacturing purchasing experience preferred. Awareness of ITAR / EAR helpful but not required.
Purchasing Manager (110140K)
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Purchasing Manager at a growing manufacturing operation in the Syracuse, NY area.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead purchasing and material acquisition to support production schedules, including vendor sourcing, bidding, contract negotiation, and procurement execution.
- Manage vendor agreements, pricing terms, and supplier performance to drive cost savings and improve quality and reliability.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure alignment with project timelines and operational needs.
- Oversee and optimize raw material and supply inventory levels to maintain availability and minimize excess.
- Support capital equipment and project-based procurement efforts.
- Coordinate material logistics and shipping activities.
- Monitor purchasing KPIs and analyze material trends to recommend savings opportunities and process improvements.
