Part-Time HR Associate (10-15 hrs. / week to start)\n

\nPosition Summary\n
Straton Industries has an internship opportunity for a college student majoring in Human Resources or a related file to learn more about HR while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. The Human Resources Associate will provide administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including Learning Management System (LMS) coordination, recording-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. This role contributes to HR and operational continuity across onboarding, training, payroll, benefits, and compliance processes. This job also has the potential to transition into a full-time role.
\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

- Administers the LMS training database by maintaining all employee training records and assisting with the creation of training presentations.
\n
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.\n
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.\n
Performs periodic audit of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.\n
Assists with payroll functions including processing, employee changes, and fixing processing errors.\n
Assists with processing of terminations in HRIS, benefits systems and ERP.\n
Conducts audit of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.\n
Acts as a liaison between the organization and external HR providers and vendors.\n
Maintains and updates physical and digital employee access credentials (e.g., key cards, security system)\n
Assists with compiling monthly HR metrics and reports, including turnover, review completion, and training status.\n
Supports FAA Drug & Alcohol Program administration by maintaining the testing pool, records, and compliance documentation.\n
Provides clerical support to the HR department assisting with special projects.\n
Performs other duties as assigned\n \nMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)\n \n
Proven experience as a training administrator, HR assistant or similar role\n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.\n
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\n
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and follow through.\n
Expert with Microsoft Office Suite or related software\n
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.\n \n
