Forklift & Construction Building Material Operator- Concord, NC

We are Weyerhaeuser Distribution, a building products company. We're located in the Concord area, next to Harrisburg, behind the motor speedway. Our daily goal is to deliver wood products safely to our customers. We start with different wood products from our mills, then we cut them down to size and move the product to our customers.

We take great pride in servicing our customers in a safe and team-based environment. The primary activities in our operations department include unloading railcars / trucks of building materials, cycle counting, storing materials, breaking full units down into custom orders, and loading outbound trucks.

We are looking to hire talented people that are interested in getting trained in our business. This is NOT a temp position, it is a direct hire position with benefits, for anyone wanting a career. We currently have an opening for a Forklift Ops Associate. This role will be performed on the evening shift and require regular movement throughout the day, which means regular periods of standing, sitting, walking, and sliding / moving up to 100 pounds, and even driving heavy equipment outdoors in all types of weather.

With the direction of the Site Manager, this role will focus on safely moving our product for our customers. We want talented people with at least a high school diploma, that have a drive to perform and a commitment to safety. From there, we will safely train them to pick and pull orders and operate a forklift to efficiently load and move products for our customers..

The starting hourly rate is $18.50 per hour, which does not include overtime. The evening shift will start at 4 : 30PM and will end at 1 : 00AM . There is room for some overtime, and you can also drive your base pay rate higher, as you master more and more skills.
