LHH is actively seeking a Registration Coordinator for one of our top clients in Reno! This will be a long term contract opportunity that will be onsite at their Reno office.
Registration Coordinator
The Registration Coordinator is responsible for receiving and registering household goods relocation orders, ensuring all transportation and logistics processes are initiated accurately and on time. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter new orders, shipment details, and updates into tracking and logistics systems.
- Trace shipments with carriers such as steamship lines, trucking vendors, and railroads, and update records accordingly.
- Answer incoming customer calls, respond to inquiries, and take appropriate follow-up actions.
- Monitor and promptly respond to customer emails and communications, escalating issues when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company's proprietary database.
- Review data for errors, research and resolve exceptions, and address service request escalations.
- Support department KPIs and help maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
- Perform general office duties such as typing, faxing, mail distribution, scanning, and document management.
- Provide feedback on process improvements and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Update schedules, logs, and daily task lists.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree or relevant coursework preferred.Experience
2+ years of related experience, ideally in import / export or transportation / logistics.Domestic or international logistics experience preferred.Skills & Abilities
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Strong typing accuracy (40+ WPM) and ten-key proficiency.Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong customer service orientation and ability to build professional relationships.High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Ability to maintain confidentiality with professionalism and discretion.Core Competencies
