Test Engineer

Milwaukee Electronics is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our R&D lab in Glendale WI and become a technical leader who shapes the future of test engineering for our organization. This is a rare opportunity to drive test strategy and automation direction while working on cutting-edge products across two domains : Sensometer remote monitoring systems and advanced automation controls.

Youll work alongside our small agile development team supporting two critical product development projects with diverse architectures and technologies. As we expand our test engineering capabilities youll mentor junior engineers and establish test practices that scale with our growth.

What Youll Do

• Lead test strategy : Drive the technical direction of test and test automation practices across the organization
• Design develop and execute comprehensive test plans for firmware and system-level validation
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Python or similar languages
• Perform hands-on debugging and root cause analysis using industry-standard tools (logic analyzers oscilloscopes protocol analyzers debuggers)
• Collaborate closely with firmware and hardware engineers to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle
• Establish test best practices and mentor junior test engineers and interns
• Drive improvements in test coverage automation and reliability metrics
• Support multiple concurrent projects with different technology stacks
• Take ownership of complex test challenges with the autonomy to implement solutions
