Weber Gallagher has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney to join the civil defense litigation group in our New York City office, working on a broad range of general liability litigation matters including personal injury, motor vehicle, property damage, construction and labor law, and product liability. Our New York practice has experienced exponential growth over the last year, and we are searching for another great addition to our team! The successful candidate will have at least three years’ experience litigating civil cases / claims, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and will be licensed to practice law in New York at the time of hire.

Responsibilities :

• Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, take depositions, and participate in arbitrations and trials.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop sound case strategies.
• Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
• Provide regular and timely updates to clients on case status, strategy, and potential outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and legal staff.
• Manage cases while adhering to billing and budget requirements.
• Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule.

Requirements :

This position offers a salary range of $130,000 – $170,000 and is based on a variety of factors including education, experience, and internal equity.
