Summary

The Electrical Apprentice is responsible for assisting the Electrician in completing work orders on electrical equipment / projects. This includes but is not limited to testing, troubleshooting and repairing. The Electrical Apprentice will also collaborate with other team members to identify and solve issues.

This is a safety-sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety First - Put safety first and production second. Always.
• Read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints and NEC and specifications to see and plan layout of commercial electrical equipment installations.
• Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber optic, line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts in both AC and DC systems.
• Install, repair, or replace generators and industrial storage batteries.
• Perform preventative maintenance and testing of electrical systems both AC and DC.
• Install electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protective devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the CEC and / or NEC.
• Work on electrical failures and replacements.
• Correct connections and wiring on equipment.
• Conduct preventative and maintenance programs, and keeps records of maintenance.
• Must continue to work towards training and certifications for work-related jobs.
• Ensure the highest level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld.
• Other duties as assigned.
