JOB DESCRIPTION
- Hourly Homemaker / Companions wanted. This position will provide care in homes, apartments, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, etc. as assigned. Available Day Shifts are for 3 hours (or more) weekdays and / or weekends.
- CNA Certification preferred, but not required.
- The Caregiver assists with personal care activities : bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair / skin care and feeding.
- Assists with medication management by reminding client to take medications as needed.
- Assists the client with exercises, ambulation and transfer activities.
- Performs household services essential to a clean, safe and healthy environment, including meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping to ensure that the client is receiving sanitary and safe care at home.
- Assists client by driving them to physicians, dentist, clinic or other appointments.
- Will accompany client on walks and to social functions.
- Observes any changes in the clients' abilities and / or needs for safety issues and notifies the Agency as appropriate.
- Documentation of care / activities provided will be submitted bi-weekly as per Agency Policy.
