Qualifications :
Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Materials Science, Electronics, Vacuum Technology, or related field
1–3 years of experience with thin-film deposition, vacuum systems, or semiconductor processes
Hands-on experience operating PVD systems (sputtering, evaporation, or other vacuum deposition equipment)
Familiarity with vacuum pumps, gauges, gas systems, and plasma-based processes
Experience using thin-film characterization tools such as profilometry, ellipsometry, SEM, XRD
Comfort working in cleanroom environment with full PPE and adherence to ESD protocols
Clear communication skills and disciplined recordkeeping in line with ISO, IPC, and internal QA standards
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge of deposition variables such as power, pressure, gas flow, and film stress
Ability to train junior technicians and contribute to SOP development
Responsibilities :
Operate and monitor PVD systems for production builds, running established thin-film recipes for production lots
Prepare substrates, tooling, and fixtures for deposition processes
Log process data, track deviations, report issues, and support root cause analysis for equipment or process problems
Use thin-film characterization tools to assess film thickness, uniformity, and quality
Maintain accurate records of recipes, runs, and material traceability, and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at yield, uptime, and throughput
