Conduct tax research and provide technical support on complex tax issues. Assist in tax planning and strategy development for clients across various industries. Review workpapers and ensure accuracy and completeness of tax filings. Supervise, mentor, and train junior associates and interns. Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and provide updates. Stay current on tax law changes and proactively identify opportunities for clients. Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. Bachelor's (Required) CPA (Preferred)

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Accountant located in Charleston, SC. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic public accounting team. This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong technical skills, client service experience, and a desire to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing complex tax engagements, supervising junior staff, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax .
- Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation skills
- Experience in Tax and Financial Statements
- Accounting skills
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- CPA license or working towards certification is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
